144kV Interconnections
|

New facilities interconnections are required in the Oyen area to connect the existing Oyen and Excel substations to the proposed new Lanfine substation. These interconnections will reinforce the transmission facilities in the Oyen area and are required for the overall Hanna Region Transmission Development.
If approved, these interconnections will include the construction of about 11 kilometres (km) of new transmission line from the proposed Lanfine substation to the existing Oyen substation. An additional 3 km of new line will extend northeast from the Lanfine substation to the Excel substation.
