We have identified several preliminary routes for the 144 kV transmission line.
Preliminary options are shown on the enclosed maps (see Map 1 and Map 2). We have elected
route options that:
- Avoid homes and minimize impacts on residences
- Follow property boundaries and other linear features wherever possible to provide access and to avoid impacts to agriculture
- Minimize impacts on significant vegetation such as wind breaks and valued trees
- Minimize impacts on built-up areas, highways, agricultural, oil and gas operations, and communication facilities
- Minimize impacts to environmentally sensitive areas such as watercourses, wet or steep areas, wildlife habitat and other sensitive areas such as designated historical sites
Other options for transmission line routes may be considered if identified through our consultation process.
The preferred transmission line route will be identified after we have considered feedback and concerns.
