Overview
The Youngstown Substation Expansion Project is part of the larger Hanna Region Transmission Development.
The project involved expanding the existing Youngstown substation to accommodate new infrastructure and relocating approximately 90 metres of existing transmission line.
The AUC approved the Facilities Application for the expansion of the Youngstown substation and construction was complete in October 2011.
Public Involvement
In addition to distributing project information, ATCO Electric hosted open houses in Spring of 2010. These sessions allowed an opportunity to learn more and share your concerns with us.
An application for the Youngstown substation was submitted to the Alberta Utilities Commission in August of 2010.
